The Electronics (O.E.M) Sales Group was organized mainly to serve the raw material supplies, parts, components and equipment requirements of radio and television manufacturers. Later, additional product lines were handled to cover customers involved in white line appliances. |
| 1978 |
During this year the Semiconductor Group was formed. Initially, this group engaged in the promotion and sales of semiconductor raw material supplies such as epoxy resins, leadframes, gold bonding wires, solders, chemicals and others. However, in 1980, with an additional manpower, the sales of production and support equipment were introduced into the semiconductor industry. Also, a Technical Support Group was created to provide service and maintenance to equipment sold by the group. |

It was in this year that the Industrial Sales Group was formed. The group engaged in the sales of special application products such as tapes, plastic resins, power supply parts/accessories and allied products for the various industries. To this date, this sales force intends to handle additional product lines to respond to the current prospective requirements of different industrial and commercial sectors |

ELECTROWORLD (HK) CO., LTD.(EHK) was founded. It was during this year that the Philippine Central Bank imposed severe restrictions on foreign currency allocations such that even export-oriented companies who were provided with incentives were not spared in complying such promulgated ruling. EHK then played a vital role in assuring our foreign suppliers on the financial commitments of Philippine customers. This entity serves mainly the marketing needs of Edgeworth. |

ELECTROWORLD TAIPEI CORPORATION (ETC) was established. In view of the increase in demand for Taiwan made products mainly for the OEM and the Industrial Groups, ETC’s role was found to be very significant. Also, ETC as with of Edgeworth is active in the field of electronics, electrical, semiconductor industries in Taiwan domestic mark. |

A Centralized Warehousing was established which is located at South Superhighway, Alabang, Metro Manila. |

Edgeworth Corporation celebrated its 25th year anniversary. |

A permanent in-house Demonstration and Technical Center was established at Alabang, Muntinlupa. |
